My Election 2007 - The Week That Was
Week One of My Election 2007 saw the Liberal Party jump early on day one to focus attention on fiscal policy, but the week also saw the launch of the advertising campaigns, from the down home folksy to a scare about union representation in the Labor Party. And there was a rare embarrassing slip by the Prime Minister on Channel Nine.

Week two of My Election 2007 saw the Great Debate between the two leaders of the Liberal and Labor Parties and much discussion about the 'Worm'. The people meter gave the debate to Kevin Rudd but it also brought into contention the idea of networks being able to broadcast the debates as they see fit, free and Democratic. The CPI figures were also released in week two and they were not great indicators for the Coalition in regard to keeping interest rates low.

Week three of My Election 2007 was a week that saw Peter Garrett's gaff, Tony Abbott's absence, and a prickly question on cactus to a Treasurer.

Week Five of My Election 2007 saw the launch of each party’s campaign with much rhetoric and gusto. John Howard promised almost $10 billion for the country, Kevin Rudd changed tack and promised only a quarter of that amount. Hear each major party’s plans.
